Summer concerts

For the summer season Il Tratturo proposes the show "La Terra del Canto" "The Land of Song"; adapted, open-air performances.
It deals with popular songs of the cycle of the year and the cycle of human life, with ample time dedicated to the traditional dances: tarantella, pizzica, saltarello, ballarella, etc.
A rich set of instruments (over 40 pieces) characterizes the performance of the chosen pieces.  The use of vocals is also fundamental in the repertoire of Il Tratturo, both in solo and group pieces.
One part of their repertoire is composed of ancient melodies from the XVI to the XIX century, played on the instruments in use at that time, sometimes remaining philologically faithful to the original, sometimes playing revised versions.

Christmas concerts

Il Tratturo is specialized in a repertoire of Christmas, New Year and Epiphany songs and music, being rated as among the greatest exponents at international level in this sector.
For the Christmas period, (from 6th December to 6th January) Il Tratturo is planning the show Stella Cometa: canzoni accanto al presepe (The Comet: songs beside the manger), the traditional Italian Christmas Concert.
It is a show centred around the music linked to certain holidays/festivals celebrating the end of the old year and the beginning of the New Year.  From the festival of St. Nicholas, 6th December (the saint who inspired the myth of Father Christmas), through the day of the Immaculate Conception (8th December), to the festival of Saint Lucy (13th December).  Continuing, with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24th -25th December), then Saint Stephen's Day (26th December), up to New Year's Eve (also the festival of Saint Sylvester in Italy), (31st December/1st January); concluding with the songs for Epiphany (5th -6th January).
In relation to this calendar cycle they propose: pastorales, pieces for the zampogna, novenas, lullabies for the baby Jesus, hymns to the Comet, songs about the childhood of Jesus, songs for the pipes, pieces of narrative on St. Joseph and the Virgin, Christmas songs of Sant'Alfonso de' Liguori, New Year's eve songs, songs for Epiphany and even more.
